Taiwan will showcase its growing medical technology sector during Medical Taiwan 2026, a healthcare exhibition scheduled for 25 to 27 June at Taipei World Trade Center Exhibition Hall 1. The event, organized by the Taiwan External Trade Development Council, marks its 20th year and is expected to draw international buyers, healthcare experts, and industry leaders.
Known for its electronics and biomedical sectors, Taiwan has become a recognized center for smart healthcare innovation. Local companies continue to develop integrated medical solutions that combine hardware, software, and data technologies — particularly in areas such as AI-powered diagnostics, smart hospitals, and connected healthcare devices.

This year’s exhibition revolves around three themes: Innovative Care, Smart Healthcare, and Medical Supplies Hub. The showcase aims to address rising global demand for preventive healthcare, elderly care, and more efficient medical services.
AI and smart tech take center stage
Key attractions include the AI Smart Healthcare Pavilion, featuring technologies such as intelligent operating rooms, smart wards, and AI-based medical imaging systems. Another major feature is the Smart Medical & AI-Tech Assistive Devices Pavilion, which will spotlight advanced solutions for senior care and wellness management.
An International Forum during the event will host healthcare specialists from the United States, Australia, Japan, and Israel. They will discuss developments in remote healthcare and “Hospital at Home” services.

The exhibition will also feature M-novator Demo Day, where nine companies will present innovations in digital therapeutics and health-monitoring technologies. Business matching sessions and One-on-One Procurement Meetings are planned to encourage partnerships between global buyers and Taiwanese manufacturers.
Taiwan’s healthcare ranking and global pull
Taiwan ranked first in the world for healthcare for the eighth consecutive year in the 2026 Healthcare Index by Numbeo, with a score of 87.1. The ranking reflects its strong healthcare system and growing strength in smart medical innovation.
The exhibition will host around 300 exhibitors from 13 countries, presenting the latest medical technologies, healthcare solutions, and smart medical applications. It is also expected to welcome over 600 international buyers from 56 countries, showing strong international interest in Taiwan’s healthcare industry.

Organizers said the event serves as a platform for discovering emerging healthcare technologies and strengthening international industry collaboration. Some outside observers note that while the exhibition highlights Taiwan’s capabilities, the broader global MedTech market remains competitive, with other Asian hubs like Singapore and South Korea also investing heavily in similar areas.
Medical Taiwan 2026 will feature forums, demos, and business matching activities across the three-day event. The organizers have not released a full schedule of speakers or specific product launches as of yet.
